How are player ratings calculated?
Ratings are calculated using the NADO formula:
PPD + (MPR × 10) when both stats are available.
- If data is missing, estimates are applied.
In cases of duplicate entries, the highest verified rating (minimum 24 games) is used. - J&J may review and adjust ratings if additional data is available.
What if my name is not listed?
You may not have had enough qualifying games (minimum 24 ‘01 games) at the time ratings were pulled.
If you believe you should be listed:
- Contact your league director to review your stats
- Ensure your name is correctly recorded (full name required)
Does being listed mean I’m eligible to play?
No. Eligibility depends on:
- League game requirements
- Event-specific qualifications

What if I feel that my rating is not calculated correctly?
- Check how ratings are calculated first.
- If something seems off, contact the league office for review.
Players are responsible for verifying their rating before competing. - J&J reserves the right to adjust ratings at any time due to data errors, duplicates, or additional information.
IT IS EVERY PLAYER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CONFIRM THAT THE AVERAGES LISTED HERE ARE ACCURATE IN THE EVENT THAT A PLAYER EXISTED IN THE DATABASE WITH JUST A PARTIAL NAME, NICKNAME OR INITIALS. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ADJUST A PLAYER'S AVERAGE IN THE EVENT THAT DATA WAS EXCLUDED OR OVERLOOKED FOR ANY REASON. THIS MAY RESULT IN A PLAYER OR TEAM BEING MOVED INTO A HIGHER LEVEL OR NOT BEING ALLOWED TO COMPETE.
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE ANY PLAYER'S RATING FOR ANY REASON AT ANY TIME INCLUDING BEFORE, DURING, OR AFTER REGISTRATION OR COMPETITION. THIS INCLUDES: DATA ENTRY ERRORS, MULTIPLE PLAYER LISTINGS, HIGHER STATS AVAILABLE OUTSIDE OF JJVA LEAGUE PROGRAM, OR ANY OTHER REASON. IF A PLAYER FEELS THAT THEIR RATING LISTED HERE IS INACCURATE IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTACT US FOR A DETERMINATION AND POSSIBLE CORRECTION. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FOR A PLAYER AND THEIR TEAMMATE(S).
