The Jim & Kay Jansen Scholarship awards four years of free tuition and fees!

J&J Gaming Charity is proud to announce the opening of the 9th annual, Jim & Kay Jansen Scholarship for the 2026-2027 school year. Started in 2018, Jim & Kay Jansen and Family started the Scholarship fund to award 100% of tuition and fees for four years of education at St. Anthony High School. The Scholarship has been awarded to six incoming freshmen, per year, who have not previously attended St. Anthony Grade School. To date, the Jim & Kay Jansen Scholarship has supported over 60 students in pursuing education excellence at St. Anthony High School.

EFFINGHAM, IL, January 15, 2026 – J&J Gaming announced today its acquisition of Midwest Amusements LLC, a multi-state operator that manages over 420 gaming devices across 101 locations in Nebraska, Iowa, and Wyoming. Since its founding in 2019 by Matthew Philippsen and Maya Shannon, Midwest Amusements has earned a reputation as a trusted partner known for its expertise in the convenience store and truck stop market.

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the AGA supporting Responsible Gaming Education and providing assistance to gaming patrons across the nation. J&J Gaming supports our establishments and their patrons by providing useful tools inside the gaming room including our responsible gaming cards, posters and social media assets to promote the cause.
